 Plaça Jaume I

Eight centuries after its founding, Vilafranca is still characterised by an air of medieval nobility in its medieval Gothic Quarter where we find Saint Mary's Church and bell tower; the former Royal Palace, home of VINSEUM. Museum of the Wine Cultures of Catalonia; Baltà Palace; Casa Gumà; the church of Saint Francis; the chapel of Saint John; Casa Macià and the Town Hall itself.

Wine culture is present in all kinds of ways: in architecture, industry and cultural events.
VINSEUM allows visitors to make a journey through the history of the vineyard and wine and follow the evolution of winemaking techniques. Wine and local delicacies can be tasted in many of the town's restaurants or in the local festivities that showcase the richness of a traditional cuisine based on poultry and other locally produced products.

Commerce is another attraction of Vilafranca. The town is full of great shops that give visitors a choice of modern and traditional retail options. As a town with eight hundred years of commercial history, shopkeepers here pride themselves on their professionalism and experience.
