Penedès is an area that consists of three sub-counties, known by the names of Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès and Garraf. The region Penedès stretches across an area of 1.557km2 following the contour between the Pre-coastal Catalan Depression and the Mediterranean Sea.
These conditions allow the development of a suitable climate for growing grapes. Montserrat mountains protect the land from the northerly winds, creating a microclimate ideal for the cultivation of vines and production of quality wines.
