Get to know one of the only places to refine cheese in Catalonia!
At Obrador Xerigots, in an old nineteenth-century space in Comerç Street, in Vilafranca del Penedès, there is the refining space for cheeses, in old ceramic cups where wine was previously stored.
The proposal is a visit to know the cheese refining process and then the tasting: a pairing of 5 wines with 15 cheeses. This is a route to know different forms of cheeses, put the senses to the test to differentiate the types of milk and the degrees of ripeness. And, at the same time, to see how special it can become the symbiosis of the wine and the cheese and the intensities of a pairing.
